Braces #1

I never want to have to experience getting brackets put on to my teeth again, no it wasn't painful, it was just uncomfortable especially since the suction is kept in your mouth for the entire process (20mins ish). It's definitely a weird feeling, so I'd recommend bringing water and a very good lip balm when you get them on. In terms if pain, it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be, but I may just have a slightly high pain tolerance. The main discomfort is when eating but its no surprise since your teeth are being loosened and moved, I probably haven't helped much by not sticking to a soft food diet but I guess that's proof that you don't have to stick to soup and noodles for your entire treatment process.

I think I've already found a good cleaning routine. Electric toothbrush, Interdental brushes (0.6mm), Manual toothbrush, Floss, Mouthwash. This may seem excessive but it's only for the evening just to make sure nothing's stuck in the wires. The Interdental brushes are also really great for carrying around if you enjoy spontaneously eating out.

The insides of my mouth are definitely a bit irritated but hopefully after a while that should get better, as long as I bother with using the wax.

My next appointment isn't until the 4th October, and I'm just hoping that I'm not in a lot of pain afterwards.
